What are the Page Types?

Here’s a comprehensive list of all the possible page types with explanations for the more complex one:

• Posts

• Pages

• Categories

• Blog / Posts page

  • This is only present on sites that display their posts on the homepage and haven’t selected a static homepage via the Settings > Reading menu

• Author archives

  • Every author has an archive page automatically generated by WordPress

• Date archives (Year/Month/Day)

  • Archives for the year, month, and day each post was published are automatically generated by WordPress

  • Each CPT is listed separately
